The U.S. government hires 1,000 experts to expand AI programs

The U.S. government announced on Monday a new initiative called "American Tech Power," which will hire approximately 1,000 engineers and other experts who will work on artificial intelligence infrastructure and other technology projects across the federal government.

The team will report directly to agency leaders and collaborate with technology companies such as Amazon (AMZN.US), Apple (AAPL.US), and Microsoft (MSFT.US)
