# December 19th Midday Review: The ChiNext Index rose nearly 1% in half a day, and the consumer sector exploded again

The Shanghai Composite Index fluctuated and strengthened in the morning, with the Shenzhen Component Index and the ChiNext Index both rising nearly 1%. The consumer sector exploded again, with retail and dairy industries leading the gains, and stocks like FJDB and Zhuangyuan Pasture hitting the daily limit. The concept of controllable nuclear fusion surged, with WZXC and XueRen Group also hitting the daily limit. The intelligent driving concept was repeatedly active, with Zhejiang Shibao achieving four consecutive limits, and LuChang Technology hitting the daily limit. Most individual stocks rose rather than fell, with over 4,700 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets in the green, and a total transaction volume of 1.1 trillion in the morning session. At the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.59%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.93%, and the ChiNext Index rose 0.99%
