The RMB central parity has risen above "7" and reached a high not seen in over two and a half years, adjusting by 90 points to 6.9929 against the US dollar. The People's Bank of China today (22nd) conducted a 210.2 billion yuan (the same below) seven-day reverse repurchase operation, with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%. Today, 179.3 billion yuan of reverse repos are maturing, resulting in a net injection of 30.9 billion yuan for the day. On the same day, the central bank conducted a 900 billion yuan Medium-term Lending Facility (MLF) operation, with a term of one year.

The three major A-share indices opened higher. The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 4,130 points, up 0.2% or 7 points. The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 14,349 points, up 21 points or 0.2%. The ChiNext Index opened at 3,334 points, up 5 points or 0.2%.

Banking stocks opened flat, with Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398.SH) opening unchanged. China Construction Bank (601939.SH) opened up 0.1%. Nanjing Bank (601009.SH) opened nearly 1% higher, with a projected net profit of 21.807 billion yuan in 2025, an annual increase of 8.08%. Additionally, CATL (300750.SZ) opened up 0.6%. BYD (002594.SZ) opened up 0.1%. Dongfeng Motor (600006.SH) is expected to see an expanded net loss in 2025, with losses of 390 million to 480 million yuan, and its stock price opened down 1.5%.

International gold prices rose, and gold-related stocks rebounded significantly, with Zhaojin Mining (000506.SZ), Shandong Gold (600547.SH), Zhongjin Gold (600489.SH), and Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining (600988.SH) opening up 3.6% to 6.1%. Baiyin Nonferrous (601212.SH) hit the daily limit.

Chip-related stocks were mixed, with Hua Hong Semiconductor (688347.SH) opening down 1.1% and SMIC A (688981.SH) opening flat. AI chip stock Cambricon (688256.SH) opened down 1.2%. Domestic GPU stock Moore Threads (688795.SH) opened down 0.8%.

Nanjing Panda (600775.SH) opened up 2.7%, with the company expected to turn a profit in 2025, earning between 10 million to 15 million yuan
