# Qubic (QUBIC) - Oracle Mainnet Testing - 11 February 2026

Qubic is starting mainnet testing of its protocol-native oracle machines, which connect smart contracts to real-world data using 676 "computors" and a 451-node quorum embedded in consensus, according to the project’s update on X. Unlike external oracle networks, data verification occurs through the same infrastructure that secures transactions. If testing is successful, Qubic can host DeFi, prediction markets, and data-dependent contracts with reduced oracle manipulation risk. This expands the set of viable on-chain use cases and can drive demand for QUBIC as gas and collateral, with speculative positioning likely front-running full oracle deployment.
