The People's Bank of China today (12th) conducted a 7-day reverse repurchase operation of 166.5 billion Renminbi (same below) in the open market, with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%; it also conducted a 14-day reverse repurchase operation of 400 billion Renminbi. Today, 118.5 billion Renminbi of reverse repos are maturing, resulting in a net injection of 448 billion Renminbi for the day. The three major indices of A-shares opened high and rose further. The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 4,137 points at noon, up 5 points or 0.1%, with a turnover of 561 billion Renminbi; the Shenzhen Component Index closed at 14,274 points at noon, up 113 points or 0.8%, with a turnover of 768.5 billion Renminbi; the ChiNext Index closed at 3,323 points at noon, up 38 points or 1.2%, with a turnover of 376.8 billion Renminbi.
