Zimbabwe bans all exports of raw minerals and lithium concentrates
The Zimbabwe Ministry of Mines announced on Wednesday that it has suspended all exports of raw minerals and lithium concentrates effective immediately. The ministry stated that the export ban will remain in effect until further notice and applies to all minerals currently in transit. The statement said, "The government expects the mining industry to cooperate with this measure taken in the national interest." The statement added, "The government remains committed to... achieving domestic value addition and processing in the export of Zimbabwe's mineral resources, and ensuring compliance and accountability."
