The central parity rate of the RMB against the US dollar is reported at 6.8982, an increase of 176 points from the previous day, reaching a new high since April 25, 2023. The People's Bank of China today (10th) conducted a 39.5 billion RMB seven-day reverse repurchase operation in the open market, with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%. Today, 34.3 billion RMB of reverse repos are maturing, resulting in a net injection of 5.2 billion RMB for the day.

The three major A-share indices opened higher. The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 4,098 points, up 0.05% or 1 point. The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 14,239 points, up 171 points or 1.2%. The ChiNext Index opened at 3,281 points, up 73 points or 2.3%.

Banking stocks such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398.SH) and China Construction Bank (601939.SH) opened lower by 0.3% and 0.6%, respectively. In addition, CATL (300750.SZ) opened up 4.9%, with a net profit of 72.201 billion RMB last year, a year-on-year increase of 42.28%, and plans to distribute a cash dividend of 69.57 RMB (including tax) for every 10 shares to all shareholders. The company also plans to register and issue bonds not exceeding 40 billion RMB. BYD (002594.SZ) opened down 0.4%.

U.S. President Trump stated that military actions against Iran would soon end, causing international oil prices to drop sharply, leading to declines in the three major oil companies, with CNOOC (600938.SH) falling nearly 10%. PetroChina (601857.SH) and Sinopec (600028.SH) opened lower by 5.7% and 7.1%, respectively.

Chip stocks rose, with SMIC (688981.SH) opening up 1.7%. Hua Hong (688347.SH) opened up 2.9%. AI chip stock Cambricon (688256.SH) opened up 2%. Domestic GPU stocks such as Muxi Co., Ltd. (688802.SH) and Moore Threads (688795.SH) opened lower by 1.1% and 1.8%, respectively.

Power and grid equipment stocks continued to rise, with GCLET (002015.SZ), Liyuan New Energy (001258.SZ), and Guodian Nanzi (600268.SH) opening up between 3.9% and 7%.

Megvii Technology (03268.HK) was included in the Hong Kong Stock Connect list by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange today, with A shares (002881.SZ) opening up 1.2%
