On March 10th, PANews reported that the decentralized wallet Trust Wallet has launched an automatic Address Poisoning Protection feature to combat the increasingly common "address poisoning" scams. This feature will initially support 32 EVM public chains on mobile, automatically alerting users to incorrect addresses by scanning user transactions, comparing addresses, and generating differential comparisons when users copy or input receiving addresses. Trust Wallet stated that this tool integrates intelligence from HashDit and Binance Security to identify counterfeit addresses, supplementing its transaction-level risk scanning tool launched in 2023. Security company Cyvers reported that over 1 million address poisoning "preparatory actions" are detected daily on Ethereum, with Trust estimating approximately 34,000 attacks per hour, affecting around 17 million potential victims
