# Forbes Global Billionaires List: Zhang Qiansheng, Chairman of Taiwan's ASE Semiconductor, is the richest person in Singapore | Lianhe Zaobao

The American financial magazine Forbes has released the latest World’s Billionaires List, with Zhang Qiansheng, Chairman of Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, having a net worth of $14.2 billion, ranking 204th globally and the highest among Singaporean billionaires.

Li Xiting, founder and Chairman of Shenzhen Mindray, ranks 284th globally with a net worth of $11.2 billion, placing second among Singaporean billionaires.

Local real estate company Far East Organisation's Huang Zhida and Huang Zhixiang rank 542nd and 557th globally, respectively, making them the third and fourth richest in Singapore, with net worths of $7.2 billion and $7.1 billion.

Li Xiaodong, Chairman and CEO of Sea Group, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has a net worth of $6.8 billion, ranking 595th globally and fifth among local billionaires.

Other Singaporean billionaires on the list include Zhang Yong, founder of Haidilao, Jiang Nanchun, founder of Focus Media, Ji Qi, founder of H World Group, Guo Kongfeng, Chairman and CEO of Wilmar International, Ye Gang, COO of Sea Group, and Guo Lingming, Chairman of City Developments.

Notably, after the passing of Wu Qingliang, a Singaporean billionaire who controlled Nippon Paint, his estate was transferred to six of his eight grandchildren, elevating them to billionaire status. Among them, the daughter of his second son, Wu Junren, inherited the most shares, with a net worth of $4 billion, ranking 1074th globally and 10th among Singaporean billionaires.

The latest World’s Billionaires List features 3,428 individuals, an increase of 400 from last year, marking the highest number since the list was first published in 1987. They collectively hold $20.1 trillion in wealth, an increase of $4 trillion from 2025, setting a new record. Forbes compiled this ranking based on stock prices and exchange rates as of March 1 this year, with all individuals having a net worth exceeding $1 billion.

### 20 Individuals with Net Worth Exceeding $100 Billion

There are 20 individuals globally with net worths reaching 12 digits, exceeding $100 billion.

Elon Musk, the head of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, continues to hold the title of the world's richest person, with a net worth of $839 billion, an increase of $500 billion from last year. This is primarily due to the rise in Tesla's market value and the planned IPO of SpaceX in 2026, making Musk the first person in history to enter the $800 billion billionaire club and moving towards the goal of becoming the world's first trillionaire.

Additionally, former U.S. President Donald Trump's wealth has increased by 27%, reaching approximately $6.5 billion, mainly due to cryptocurrency trading and the dismissal of related fraud fines in New York. He ranks 645th on the global billionaire list
