Viz.ai and Alnylam to advance earlier identification of cardiac amyloidosis
Viz.ai and Alnylam are collaborating to enhance the early identification of cardiac amyloidosis, a condition that can lead to heart failure. The partnership will develop an AI Care Pathway utilizing the FDA-cleared echocardiography AI algorithm Us2.ai, integrated with electronic health records. This initiative aims to facilitate earlier diagnoses and improve care coordination for patients with ATTR-CM. A multi-site pilot trial will assess the pathway's effectiveness in patient identification and treatment initiation. Tim Showalter from Viz.ai emphasized the importance of early detection in altering patient outcomes.
