description: "The express delivery industry is ushering in price adjustments, with 5 express companies jointly issuing a price adjustment notice, making Guizhou the first province to complete the price adjustment. The reason for the adjustment is the increase in transportation costs caused by rising oil prices. In the Guizhou region, the per-ticket fee for express delivery has been raised by 0.05 yuan, and the minimum charging standard has increased to 1.2 yuan per ticket. This price increase is a continuation of the industry's price recovery trend since 2025, with base prices for express delivery in multiple regions being raised successively"

# 5 Express Companies Jointly Adjust Prices, Industry Bids Farewell to Low-Price "Involution"

The express delivery industry is once again seeing price adjustments. Recently, YTO Express Co., Ltd., J&T Express Global Co., Ltd., and three other express companies jointly issued a price adjustment notice, with Guizhou becoming the first province to complete the adjustment following the oil price change. According to the notices issued by each company, the direct reason for this round of adjustments is the transportation cost pressure brought about by rising oil prices. The adjustment notice shows that the waybill fee per ticket in the Guizhou region has been increased by 0.05 yuan, and the minimum express delivery charging standard has been raised to 1.2 yuan per ticket. Various brand express companies in the local area are implementing the new prices simultaneously, leaving no room for differentiated operations.

This round of price increases is not an isolated event, but a continuation of the industry's price recovery trend since 2025. In July 2025, the Yiwu Postal Administration held a meeting and explicitly required the lower limit of the per-piece price for express delivery to be increased by 0.1 yuan, raising the base price to 1.2 yuan. Subsequently, the overall base price for express delivery in Guangdong Province was raised by 0.4 yuan per ticket, with the average price rising to over 1.4 yuan. In September, five franchised express companies in Shanghai simultaneously announced an increase in collection prices, with the increase ranging from 0.2 yuan to 0.4 yuan per order.
