March 26 Midday Market Review: SSE Index Down 0.58% at Midday, Lithium Battery Sector Strong Against the Trend

The SSE Index fluctuated and adjusted in the morning, while the ChiNext surged and then retraced. The lithium battery sector moved against the trend and strengthened, with YOUNGY achieving its third consecutive daily limit, and LDXC, Quzhou Dongfeng, Great Southeast, and Shida Shenghua hitting their daily limits. The power sector bottomed out and rebounded, with Huadian Liaoning Energy achieving its ninth consecutive daily limit, and stocks such as Guangxi Energy, Jingyuntong, Gan Neng Power, and Shennanpower A hitting their daily limits. On the downside, the photovoltaic sector adjusted, with Yubang New Material falling over 10%, and insurance stocks declined, with China Life falling over 5%. Decliners outnumbered gainers, with over 4,100 stocks across the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets trading in the red. Morning turnover totaled 1.23 trillion yuan. By the midday close, the SSE Index was down 0.58%, the Shenzhen Index was down 0.38%, and GEM was down 0.07%.
