# The Hang Seng TECH Index fell by 1.63%, while the automotive sector strengthened | Hong Kong stock market closing review

On April 2, Hong Kong stocks fluctuated lower, with the **Hang Seng Index closing down 0.7% and the Hang Seng TECH Index down 1.63%.**
