# Thursday Sector Leaders: Waste Management, Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Stocks

In trading on Thursday, waste management shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 2.8%. Leading the group were shares of Casella Waste Systems up about 7.2% and shares of GFL Environmental up about 2.7% on the day.

Also showing relative strength are oil & gas exploration & production shares, up on the day by about 2.8% as a group, led by Battalion Oil, trading higher by about 16.4% and HighPeak Energy, trading higher by about 9.1% on Thursday.
