Global Leader! China Capable of Simultaneously Constructing 50 Nuclear Power Units

The blue book of the 'China Nuclear Energy Development Report 2026' reveals that China has established globally leading nuclear power engineering construction capabilities, currently possessing the capacity to simultaneously build 50 nuclear power units. Latest data shows that investment in China's nuclear power engineering construction reached 161 billion yuan in 2025, representing an increase of 14.1 billion yuan over the previous year. As China's nuclear power engineering construction technology continues to advance in terms of autonomy and localization, the industry has progressed from the initial stage of "single-unit construction" to the current phase of "multi-unit simultaneous construction," gradually developing comprehensive lifecycle construction and operational capabilities ranging from preparation to construction, cold testing to commercial operation.
