# U.S. Air Force to Acquire Drones from Trump-Linked Company

The U.S. Air Force has agreed to purchase a batch of interceptor drones from a company supported by U.S. President Donald Trump's son, though the quantity remains unspecified. According to Odaily, this decision comes as the U.S.-Iran conflict enters its third month, further strengthening ties between the U.S. military and defense contractors associated with the Trump family. Powerus co-founder Velikovich stated that the company will sell these drones to the Pentagon following a demonstration in Arizona. This marks Powerus's first contract to supply such weapons to the U.S. military. The company has not disclosed the terms or scale of the deal, but such transactions are common when the military evaluates new weapon systems. The move aligns with the U.S. strategy to counter Iranian attack drones using cost-effective interceptor drones instead of expensive missiles. Reports indicate that the U.S. military has already deployed 10,000 AI-equipped Merops interceptor drones, developed in Ukraine, to the Middle East.
