# Oil supply crisis deepens as Strait of Hormuz closure limits Saudi, Iraqi, and Kuwaiti exports

The oil supply crisis is deepening as the closure of the Strait of Hormuz continues to choke exports from some of the Gulf’s biggest producers, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait. Reuters reported that OPEC+ is still expected to approve another modest output quota increase, but the added supply will remain largely symbolic as long as the region’s main export route stays severely disrupted.
