China's construction machinery production and sales rank first in the world, serving as a business card for Chinese brands. From 2020 to 2025, the export scale of the construction machinery industry is expected to achieve nearly threefold growth, with cumulative exports exceeding 112.4 billion yuan in the first quarter of this year, a year-on-year increase of 21.3%. In Changsha, Hunan, an 82-meter straight-arm aerial work platform has set a new industry record, with sales in the first quarter skyrocketing by 500% year-on-year. Chinese construction machinery holds a leading position in multiple sub-sectors: the global market share of concrete machinery exceeds 40%, ranking first in the world for several consecutive years; the global market share of shield machines has surpassed 70%; and the market shares of truck cranes, aerial work platforms, and electric forklifts all remain among the top in the world. According to Qichacha data, as of May 12th, there are 4.8213 million existing construction machinery-related enterprises in China. Over the past decade, the year-end stock of construction machinery-related enterprises has shown a stable upward trend, with the industry scale rapidly expanding. The year-end stock reached 590,000 at the end of 2016, and by the end of 2025, it is expected to increase to 4.6529 million, representing more than a sixfold growth in enterprise stock over ten years. In terms of registered capital distribution, most construction machinery-related enterprises are lightweight, with over 60% of enterprises having registered capital of less than 2 million yuan. In terms of regional distribution, enterprises in East China account for the largest share, reaching 30.94%. In terms of registration volume, 778,100 construction machinery-related enterprises are expected to be registered throughout 2025.
