Second Japanese Oil Tanker Passes Through Strait of Hormuz

A tanker operated by Eneos Holdings has successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz, marking a positive development amid rising energy concerns in Japan due to ongoing Middle East conflicts. This is the second Japan-linked tanker to transit the strait recently. Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi emphasized the importance of ensuring safe passage for vessels and mentioned that the government is actively pursuing diplomatic efforts to facilitate this. Japan continues to rely heavily on Middle Eastern oil imports, and the government has released portions of its strategic oil reserves to mitigate potential energy shortages.
