# LIAONING PORT: Jiao Guangjun nominated for election as an independent non-executive director

According to the announcement from LIAONING PORT (02880), as the term of the seventh board of directors is about to expire, the board has resolved to propose the appointment of members for the eighth board of directors, which will take effect only after being approved by the company's shareholders at the 2025 annual general meeting. The current directors of the company will continue to perform their duties until the new board members are elected by the shareholders at the annual general meeting. The term for each proposed director is 3 years, effective from the date of shareholder approval.

Following the nomination by the board and the review by the remuneration committee, Dr. Li Guofeng has been nominated for re-election as an executive director of the eighth board, Mr. Liu Bin, Mr. Yang Bing, and Mr. Huang Zhenzhou have been nominated for re-election as non-executive directors of the eighth board, Ms. Cheng Chaoying and Mr. Chen Weixi have been nominated for re-election as independent non-executive directors of the eighth board, while Mr. Jiao Guangjun has been nominated for election as an independent non-executive director of the eighth board
