Extending last Fri (29th)'s rally, the stock opened 9.23% higher today (1st) and once surged 12.3% to a peak of HKD132.6 in early trading. Gains later narrowed, and it is now trading at HKD124.1, up 5.08%, with turnover surging to 31.5814 million shares, involving HKD3.961 billion. Nomura published a research report stating that AKESO announced encouraging results from the HARMONI-6 clinical trial, boosting sentiment across the sector and generating a strong positive impact for both the company and the industry. The broker believes the successful data from HARMONI-6 increases the probability of success for the HARMONI-3 clinical trial. It upgraded AKESOs rating from Neutral to Buy, while slightly lowering the TP to HKD142.5 from HKD142.75. Jefferies also noted that data from the HARMONI-6 China clinical trial showed an overall survival (OS) hazard ratio (HR) of 0.66, significantly better than expected. Ivonescimab recorded a median overall survival (mOS) of 27.9 months, with survival benefits widening over time and remaining consistent across different PD-L1 expression subgroups. Meanwhile, no new safety signals were identified in the clinical trial. The broker maintained its Buy rating and TP of HKD226 on the company.
