Vietnam's Ministry of Finance has put forward a proposal to permit small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to use digital assets as collateral for bank loans. According to NS3.AI, this initiative is included in a draft revision of the Law on Support for SMEs, which is currently open for public consultation. SMEs constitute over 98% of businesses in Vietnam, yet they receive only about 20% of the total bank credit in the country. The proposal aims to enhance access to financing for these enterprises by leveraging digital assets.
