Sinotruk surges 10% in Hong Kong trading on record April truck sales

Sinotruk (3808.HK) surged more than 10% in Hong Kong trading to HK$41.44. The company reported heavy truck sales of 122,000 units in April, marking a 39% year-over-year increase and the highest level for the month in five years. Sinotruk's own monthly sales reached 34,000 units, up 34% from a year earlier. Cumulative sales for the January-April period totaled 121,000 units, a 21% increase year-over-year, securing its position as the market leader in China's heavy truck industry. Analysts noted that the sector is poised for sustained growth, driven by rapid alignment with domestic sales policies and key export breakthroughs in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
