# CH ENERGY ENG Consortium Signs USD1.687B Abu Dhabi Power Plant EPC Contract

CH ENERGY ENG (03996.HK) +0.030 (+2.419%) Short selling $1.62M; Ratio 5.082% announced that recently, a consortium (as the general contractor) comprising China Energy International Group Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., the subsidiaries of the Company, entered into an EPC contract for the Abu Dhabi Taweelah C combined cycle gas power station project with a project company established by AL JOMAIH ENERGY AND WATER COMPANY and SEMBCORP TAWEELAH C PTE. LTD..

The contract amount is US$1.687 billion, equivalent to RMB11.420 billion. The project is located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. The scope of work involves the construction of a dual-fuel combined cycle gas power station with a net output capacity of 2,600MW, including design, manufacture, supply, factory testing, transportation, civil works, installation, commissioning, training, acceptance, warranty and maintenance services during the warranty period. The total project duration is 32 months.
