The People's Bank of China conducted RMB188.5 billion of seven-day reverse repo operations today (11th) at an unchanged rate of 1.4%. With no reverse repos maturing, the single-day net injection totaled RMB188.5 billion. The three major A-share indices opened 0.3% to 0.4% lower and remained volatile and weak, closing down 0.2% to 1.1% for the day. The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,987 points, down 6 points or 0.16%, with turnover of RMB1.19 trillion. The Shenzhen Component Index fell 102 points or 0.68% to close at 14,851 points, with turnover of RMB1.37 trillion. The ChiNext Index declined 43 points or 1.13% to close at 3,811 points, with turnover of RMB649.929 billion. Among financials, ICBC (601398.SH) -0.030 (-0.390%) fell 0.4%, while CCB (601939.SH) +0.110 (+1.049%) rose 1.1%. In insurance, CHINA LIFE (601628.SH) -0.300 (-0.866%) dropped 0.9% and CHINA PACIFIC INSURANCE (601601.SH) -0.450 (-1.384%) slid 1.4%. In addition, BYD Company (002594.SZ) -0.510 (-0.565%) edged down 0.6%. CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX (300750.SZ) -6.300 (-1.622%) fell 1.6% after its application to revoke the land pre-examination and site selection opinion for the Jianxiawo lithium mine was approved. In the semiconductor sector, SMIC (688981.SH) +2.060 (+1.644%) rose 1.6%, while HUA HONG GRACE (688347.SH) -0.460 (-0.207%) dipped 0.2%. AI chip maker CAMBRICON (688256.SH) -11.500 (-0.934%) fell 0.9%. Domestic GPU players METAX (688802.SH) +18.000 (+2.594%) and MOORE THREADS (688795.SH) +16.170 (+2.661%) gained 2.6% and 2.7%, respectively. LQKJ (688008.SH) -2.300 (-0.996%) declined 1%. Optical fiber maker YANGTZE OPTICAL FIBRE (601869.SH) -10.180 (-2.249%) dropped 2.3%. Memory chip firm GIGADEVICE (603986.SH) +2.660 (+0.553%) rose 0.6%. International oil prices strengthened, with COSL (601808.SH) +0.160 (+1.325%) and PETROCHINA (601857.SH) +0.130 (+1.270%) both climbing 1.3%. ZHONGJI INNOLIGHT (300308.SZ) -23.000 (-2.005%) was added to the US Department of Defense's Section 1260H list.
