Rene Cartier has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors, balancing recent positives with ongoing constraints. The amended Steppe Gold stream pulls forward some cash flow and supports higher 2026 GEO guidance, but is viewed as dilutive to net asset value, and introduces potential accounting volatility tied to non-cash cost of sales.

In addition, Triple Flag’s portfolio is recognized as high quality and long life, with exposure to low-cost assets in stable jurisdictions, yet near-term production growth is relatively limited. Cartier also notes that share liquidity and operational ramp-up challenges at certain assets remain overhangs, and these headwinds, together with the reduced target price of C$57 from C$60, reinforce a more neutral stance rather than a more constructive rating.

In another report released on June 3, RBC Capital also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a $38.00 price target.
