# "Stocks in Motion" China Resources Vientiane Life fell by 0.5%, property management stocks broadly declined as mall retail data worsened

According to the Economic Information Agency on the 16th, mainland China announced several economic data today, among which the total retail sales of consumer goods in May, expected to remain flat, fell by 0.6% year-on-year, recording RMB 4.109 trillion, marking the first decline since December 2022.

By retail format, from January to May, the retail sales of convenience stores and supermarkets among retail units above the designated size increased by 6.8% and 3.6% year-on-year, respectively; in contrast, the retail sales of specialty stores, department stores, and brand specialty stores concentrated in shopping malls decreased by 1.2%, 1.8%, and 7.6%, respectively.

With the decline in shopping mall retail sales data, property management stocks generally fell. China Resources Mixc Lifestyle (01209) dropped by 5.1%, closing at HKD 39.8. At the current price, the stock has fallen for 3 consecutive days, with a cumulative decline of 6.9%; Evergrande Services (01995) fell by 2.2%, closing at HKD 1.74, with a cumulative decline of 3.3% over 2 consecutive days; Greentown Services (02869) fell by 2.9%, closing at HKD 4.69; Shimao Services (00873) rose by 3.8%, closing at HKD 0.55.
