# China May Rare Earth and Products Exports +36.6% YoY; Jan-May +14.9% YoY

China's rare earth and related products exports in May reached 10,900 tons, up 36.6% YoY; cumulative exports for the first five months totaled 55,000 tons, up 14.9% YoY.

Alumina exports in May amounted to 280,000 tons, up 36.4% YoY; cumulative alumina exports for the first five months reached 1.34 million tons, up 14.7% YoY.

Imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products in May were 300,000 tons, down 15.6% YoY; cumulative imports for the first five months totaled 1.62 million tons, down 2.9% YoY.

Steel imports in May were 450,000 tons, down 6.9% YoY; cumulative steel imports for the first five months reached 2.25 million tons, down 12.2% YoY.

Imports of bauxite and its concentrates in May amounted to 23.03 million tons, up 31.9% YoY; cumulative imports for the first five months reached 100 million tons, up 18.5% YoY. (jl/da)
