# Tesco Buy Rating Reiterated as Analyst Sees Temporary Softness; Price Target Unchanged at 560p

In a report released today, Izabel Dobreva from Morgan Stanley maintained a Buy rating on Tesco plc, with a price target of p560.00.

Izabel Dobreva has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that suggest the recent trading softness is temporary rather than structural. While first-quarter like-for-like sales in the U.K. came in slightly below market expectations, profitability guidance and cash-flow targets remain intact, implying limited impact on medium-term earnings.

She highlights that disinflation, adverse weather and last year’s one-off competitor disruption created tough comparisons that should ease as the year progresses, especially with anticipated volume support from better weather and events like the World Cup. Dobreva also points to continued strength in premium and value propositions, improving customer satisfaction and resilient growth in Ireland as evidence that Tesco remains well positioned, viewing any short-term share price weakness as an attractive entry point with an unchanged 560p price target.

According to TipRanks, Dobreva is ranked #3035 out of 12258 analysts.

In another report released on June 9, Deutsche Bank also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a p525.00 price target.
