Jason Gerberry has given his Sell rating due to a combination of factors related to Exelixis’s colorectal cancer program. He highlights that while the STELLAR-303 trial achieved overall survival in the full population, the non-Latinx minority subgroup failed to show a clear overall survival benefit, and its hazard ratio looks weaker than that of an existing regimen, raising doubts about the regimen’s competitive strength. He argues that this muted signal could limit oncologists’ willingness to adopt the regimen, especially in a third-line-plus setting that is already small and crowded. As a result, he remains cautious on the commercial potential of zanza in colorectal cancer, keeps a modest U.S. peak sales forecast around $300 million for STELLAR-303, and therefore maintains an Underperform rating with a price objective below the current share price.
