As the situation in the Middle East becomes clearer, risk aversion has decreased, coupled with a strengthening US dollar, overnight spot gold fell below the USD 4,000 per ounce mark, hitting a low of USD 3,959.02, a decline of 3.7%, marking the first time since last November that it has fallen below the USD 4,000 per ounce threshold. This morning, gold prices in the Asian session remained low, with the latest spot gold price reported at USD 3,991.51 per ounce, down 0.19%.
