China-affiliated AMC Robotics Corporation is set to invest $3.5 million in the build-out and equipping of its 6,150-square-metre manufacturing facility in Bac Ninh province, Vietnam.
In a statement on Thursday, the robotics company said it has signed a lease agreement for the investment. The firm also emphasized VIetnam as a long-term hub for the production and operations in Southeast Asia.
In its first phase, the investment will focus on production of the company’s NovaArm robotic arm, designed for high-load, high-precision warehouse sorting and industrial automation applications. Initial production is slated for the second half of 2026.
AMC Robotics plans to use the facility as a foundation for future expansion, including production of its Kyro quadruped robotic dog.
Sean Da, Chairman and CEO of AMC Robotics, said securing the facility marks an important step as the company transitions from product development to manufacturing execution, providing the infrastructure needed to support the launch of NovaArm and establishing a scalable foundation for future products including Kyro.
Although AMC Robotics maintains its executive office in the United States, the company is led by Sean Da, a Chinese national who previously founded the Chinese camera brand YI. YI had a past strategic partnership with and received investment from Xiaomi, though Da has stated that YI is not owned by Xiaomi.
