description: "BTIG analyst Francois Brisebois reiterated a Buy rating on Aquestive Therapeutics with a $9.00 price target, viewing the recent sell-off as overdone. He argues that competitor SPRY's payer update does not negatively impact AQST and notes the FDA CRL for Anaphylm was limited to non-critical issues like packaging. With commercial infrastructure intact and an NDA resubmission targeted for Q3 2026, Brisebois maintains confidence in the company's positioning."

Francois Brisebois has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, including his view that the recent sell-off in Aquestive Therapeutics following competitor SPRY’s payer update is excessive and not fully justified by the facts. He points out that SPRY’s lack of new formulary additions for neffy in the July 2026 cycle does not directly translate into a negative outcome for AQST, and instead sees the pullback in AQST shares as a compelling entry point for investors.

He also emphasizes that the FDA’s Complete Response Letter for Anaphylm was limited to packaging, administration, and human factors issues, without questioning pharmacokinetics, safety, or efficacy, which supports continued confidence in the program. With the commercial infrastructure largely preserved, upcoming human factors and possible additional PK data at the next earnings call, and an NDA resubmission targeted for 3Q26, Brisebois believes the company remains well positioned and maintains his Outperform recommendation on the stock.

In another report released today, Oppenheimer also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $8.00 price target.
