The A-share markets are experiencing significant declines, with the Shanghai Composite Index having previously dropped by as much as 2.7%, hitting a low of 4007 points, and is currently down 1.9%, trading at 4043. The Shenzhen Component Index had even fallen by 3.8% during the day, and is now down 3.1%, trading at 15841.
