Fortescue iron ore cargoes held up as talks with China stall - Bloomberg
Fortescue's iron ore cargoes destined for China are delayed as negotiations with state-backed buyer China Minerals Resources Group (CMRG) remain deadlocked. Short-term agreements expire at the end of June, causing uncertainty and prompting some steelmakers to seek alternatives, which has pushed prices higher. This impasse follows a similar standoff between BHP and CMRG earlier this year.
