He cites strong 2026 visibility, as most of the fleet is secured for work, and a tight offshore market supply extending into 2027. Hamed Khorsand has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that, in his view, the market is not fully recognizing. He notes that Seadrill has secured work for most of its fleet for 2026, yet the stock trades as if future utilization will weaken, largely because investors are worried about softer oil prices and the implications for offshore activity.

Khorsand also argues that ongoing geopolitical instability in the Middle East could support offshore projects, which face fewer logistical challenges than onshore operations. He believes the market is overlooking rising day rates and a still‑tight supply backdrop extending into 2027, and he highlights that only a small portion of Seadrill’s rigs lack contracts for late 2026, supporting his unchanged $80 price target.
