This enterprise-grade solid-state drive product is called PM1763 and was unveiled earlier this year at NVIDIA's GTC conference. Samsung showcased it alongside the next-generation high-bandwidth memory HBM4 and low-power module SOCAMM2 as part of a comprehensive solution designed specifically for AI data centers. Samsung stated on Wednesday that this storage device features the latest V-NAND flash memory chips and a newly developed 4-nanometer controller, with read and write speeds more than double that of previous generations. The PM1763 can reduce data latency for advanced processors and AI accelerators. Samsung claims that to maintain high-speed operation during AI training and inference, this hard drive is equipped with a liquid cooling system. According to TrendForce, Samsung held the largest market share in the enterprise-grade solid-state drive market in the first quarter of this year, at 35%.
