# Report: Mark Tucker Returns to AIA With Tough Mgmt Style, Actively Involved in Strategic Affairs

Mark Tucker has adopted a tough management style since returning to AIA (01299.HK) +0.600 (+0.826%) Short selling $432.85M; Ratio 27.128% as independent non-executive chairman in October 2025, taking an active role in strategic matters, in contrast to former chairman Edmund Tse's less hands-on management approach, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported.

Tucker has purportedly participated in multiple meetings, including reviews of the company's structure and efficiency, as well as assessments of operations in individual departments. Such an approach is relatively uncommon for a non-executive chairman and has reportedly unsettled some members of management.
