# STOCKS | A-Shares Rebound at Midday as STAR 50 Jumps 3.13%

China's A-share market staged a V-shaped rebound in the morning session, with the STAR 50 Index rising 3.13% by the midday close. According to Jin10, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.52%, the Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.08%, and the ChiNext Index increased 0.95%. Turnover across the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets totaled 170 billion yuan for the half-day session, up 7.2 billion yuan from the previous trading day. Nearly 1,900 stocks advanced. In sector moves, precious metals were active, with Zhaojin International Gold hitting the daily limit. Computing power rental stocks strengthened, with Wangsu Science & Technology and Sangfor Technologies hitting the 20% daily limit, while Inspur Information, DataPort, and Yunsai Intelligent Connectivity also hit their daily limits. Semiconductors continued to rise, with Canxin Co. hitting the 20% daily limit and Rockchip Electronics hitting the daily limit. Other gainers included communication equipment, tourist attractions, oil and petrochemicals, and themes linked to the “East Data, West Computing” initiative and computing power. Decliners included energy metals, robotics, batteries, power equipment, and titanium dioxide themes.
