# Attendo Survey Shows Broad Political Backing to Scrap Minute-Based Home Care Scheduling

Attendo AB ( (SE:ATT) ) just unveiled an announcement.

A new survey commissioned by Attendo shows that 77 percent of local politicians across Sweden want to abolish minute-by-minute scheduling in home care, a model where municipalities pre-allocate time for each task down to the minute. The findings reveal strong cross-party consensus and similar majorities in the ten largest municipalities and all 21 counties, suggesting broad political momentum for reforming how home care services are planned.

Attendo’s Scandinavian managing director, Malin Fredgardh Huber, argues that minute-based scheduling has proven unsustainable for both staff and elderly clients and that ending the system is vital to using care resources more effectively. Drawing on Attendo’s 40 years of home care experience, she contends that abolishing minute-by-minute planning would support higher quality care and relieve operational pressures, which could reshape standards and practices in Sweden’s home care sector.
