# Alkermes Ends Generic VIVITROL Supply Agreement with Amneal

Alkermes ( (ALKS) ) has provided an announcement.

On July 6, 2026, Alkermes and Amneal Pharmaceuticals terminated their Authorized Generic Product Supply Agreement covering a generic version of VIVITROL, originally signed on September 9, 2025. The deal had allowed Amneal to distribute a limited quantity of an authorized generic VIVITROL in the United States for one year following a third‑party product launch, with Alkermes’ Irish subsidiary supplying product at a premium to manufacturing cost and sharing in net profits.

After Alkermes notified Amneal that it had not met certain contractual terms, Amneal responded within the cure period that it did not wish to order any batches under the agreement, leading to the early termination. Alkermes incurred no penalties, no further payments or obligations remain between the parties, and both companies agreed to release all related claims, limiting operational and financial impact from the discontinued arrangement.
