# Fed Chair Warsh to Testify Before Senate Banking Committee on July 15

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh will testify before the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee on July 14 and 15, respectively, presenting the Semiannual Monetary Policy Report to Congress.

This will be Warsh’s first congressional testimony on monetary policy since assuming office, and markets will closely watch his latest remarks on the direction of interest rates.

According to an announcement on the Senate Banking Committee’s website, Warsh will appear before the committee at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on July 15. The hearing will focus on the Semiannual Monetary Policy Report submitted by the Federal Reserve to Congress and will be livestreamed.

The hearing holds significant reference value for the market. As the Fed Chair’s first public testimony to Congress on monetary policy, Warsh’s wording and stance will provide key clues for external assessment of the Federal Reserve’s policy path.
