Shrenik Kothari has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors tied to GitLab’s emerging AI-led growth and improving consumption metrics. He views the latest investor update as clarifying how GitLab will bridge its traditional seat-based pricing with a usage-driven, agentic engineering platform, supported by encouraging early traction in paid consumption run rate and initial Flex program deals that validate the AI monetization strategy.

At the same time, he highlights strong underlying business trends, including robust growth in new customer orders, promising early results from GitLab Orbit, and a notable enterprise pilot that demonstrates clear productivity and ROI gains. Together with flexible packaging that reduces procurement friction and aligns spend with evolving AI usage, these dynamics underpin his confidence in GitLab’s ability to scale its AI and consumption-based offerings, supporting his unchanged $37 price target and Buy recommendation.

In another report released on June 29, Bernstein also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $60.00 price target.
