# Tianqi Lithaire falls 5% to HK$34.26 amid lithium price slump

Tianqi Lithium (9696.HK) **fell** **5%** during regular trading to **HK$34.26**.

The decline followed a drop in lithium carbonate futures below RMB160,000 per ton, pressuring sentiment across the sector. The company’s A-shares previously hit the daily limit down, dragging H-shares lower. Although approved for a RMB6 billion debt financing facility, shares remain under pressure from accelerated industry destocking and expectations of increased supply.
