# Michael Burry Increases Stake in JD.com , Envisions AI Hot Money in JP/ SK to Shift to CN/ HK Equities

Michael Burry, the hedge fund manager who inspired the protagonist in the film "The Big Short", said he increased his holdings in JD.com, Inc. (JD.US) shares at USD27.58 per share, and described JD.com, Inc. as one of his top three core holdings.

He envisioned the stock markets in Hong Kong and mainland China to benefit as the AI and memory chip boom in South Korea and Japan fades.

He also said he initiated new positions in the world's two largest online sports betting platforms, Flutter Entertainment plc Ordinary Shares (FLUT.US) and DraftKings Inc. (DKNG.US) . He bought Flutter shares at around USD107 per share and DraftKings shares at around USD26 per share.

He said prediction markets are currently the biggest threat facing the two companies, but believed prediction markets will ultimately be brought under regulatory and taxation systems.
