Naz Rahman has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, including Vertex’s strategic acquisition of Crinetics and the resulting broadening of its revenue base beyond cystic fibrosis. By adding Crinetics’ commercial drug Palsonify and the Phase 3–ready atumelnant, Vertex gains meaningful exposure to rare endocrine diseases with once-daily oral therapies that could be differentiated versus existing injectables or twice-daily options.

Rahman also points to management’s view that the acquired assets could collectively reach roughly $5 billion in peak sales, with the deal expected to become accretive to non-GAAP operating income by 2029. Given this portfolio diversification, the long-term growth potential, and only a modest anticipated impact on 2026 financials, he maintains a Buy rating and keeps his price target unchanged at $575.

In another report released yesterday, Barclays also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $615.00 price target.

VRTX’s price has also changed slightly for the past six months – from $469.680 to $498.430, which is a 6.12% increase.
