# Taiwan Semiconductor distributes a $4.8 billion dividend before the earnings report is released

According to the Taiwan Economic Daily, Taiwan Semiconductor will distribute a cash dividend for the fourth quarter of last year on Thursday, totaling approximately NT$155.6 billion (US$4.8 billion), equivalent to NT$6 per share.

Major shareholders will receive substantial dividends, with the National Development Fund of Taiwan expected to receive NT$9.92 billion.

Chairman Wei Zhejia is estimated to receive approximately NT$43.3 million (US$1.3 million).

If founder Morris Chang does not change his holdings after retirement, he is estimated to receive about NT$750 million
