# PegBio Teams with Rani Therapeutics to Pursue Oral Metabolic Therapies

PegBio Co., Ltd. Class H ( (HK:2565) ) has issued an update.

PegBio Co., Ltd. has signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with Nasdaq-listed Rani Therapeutics Holdings Inc. to apply Rani’s RaniPill oral biologics delivery platform to multiple PegBio metabolic candidates for obesity and other metabolic diseases. The partners aim to screen oral formulations, run preclinical studies, and potentially move the most promising programs into clinical development while exploring manufacturing and commercialization cooperation in markets outside China.

The collaboration is designed to shift selected PegBio assets from injectable to oral therapies, extending differentiation from molecule design into drug formulation and potentially improving patient convenience and broadening product use scenarios.
