# Scott Fidel Maintains Buy Rating on Alignment Healthcare with Unchanged $25 Price Target Despite Whistleblower Lawsuit Overhang

Goldman Sachs analyst Scott Fidel has maintained their bullish stance on ALHC stock, giving a Buy rating yesterday.

### TipRanks Welcomes a New ETF – NYSE:RANK

- TipRanks has entered a new arena in the investing world, powering the index of an ETF based on its unique data now trading under the ticker RANK on the NYSE.
- RANK tracks the performance of the TipRanks US Momentum Analysts Index, a rules-based index of 50 large U.S. companies.

Scott Fidel has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, even in light of the recent whistleblower lawsuit. He notes that the suit focuses on how certain technology-related costs were categorized, but that these allegations have not resulted in any regulatory enforcement actions, restatements, or court findings regarding Alignment’s accounting to date.

He also highlights that both the company’s internal auditor, Deloitte, and an independent external review examined Alignment’s 2023 and 2024 financial statements and concluded that no changes to accounting policies were needed. With the stock initially selling off sharply but then partially recovering, Fidel sees the market reaction as overdone and maintains his unchanged $25 price target, reflecting his view that the fundamental earnings trajectory and long-term value proposition remain intact despite the legal overhang.
