# LM Funding America Announces Reverse Stock Split Plan

LM Funding America ( (LMFA) ) has issued an update.

LM Funding America said it will implement a 1-for-25 reverse stock split of its common stock, effective July 13, 2026, following shareholder approval at its June 16 annual meeting and board authorization on June 24. The move comes after Nasdaq notified the company in January 2026 that its shares had fallen below the $1.00 minimum bid price requirement, triggering an initial 180-day grace period and a subsequent extension to January 4, 2027.

The reverse split, which will consolidate every 25 existing shares into one without changing par value, is designed to lift LM Funding’s share price to meet Nasdaq’s continued listing standards and preserve access to capital markets. Management framed the action as supporting a strategic shift toward high-performance computing and AI infrastructure built on its Oklahoma and Mississippi sites, with the higher share price intended to attract a broader investor base while proportionately adjusting outstanding equity awards and maintaining the Nasdaq ticker LMFA.

The most recent analyst rating on (LMFA) stock is a Buy

**Spark’s Take on LMFA Stock**

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, LMFA is a Neutral.

LMFA scores low primarily due to very weak financial performance—persistent large losses, deeply negative returns, and ongoing cash burn—despite some balance-sheet cushion. Technicals are also bearish with the stock trading below all major moving averages, although oversold readings provide only limited support. Earnings-call commentary and recent corporate actions add strategic upside optionality (mining efficiency gains and AI/HPC expansion), but the near-term financial losses, funding needs, and volatility risks keep the overall score depressed.
